Giving Teens a Voice

How TTT Got Started

From Word to Actions....

Teen Think Tanks of America, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, was chartered in
Huntsville, , Alabama in 1999 to give teens a voice about the issues that concern them most:  namely, teen violence, school safety and peer pressure.

By using state-of-the-art technology and software tools for collaboration and group decision-making, diverse groups of teenagers work together to identify the causes of and develop strategies to reduce school violence.

Hundreds of teenagers across America, including at-risk teens and culturally diverse groups have now participated in dozens of computerized think tanks.

The results of these Think Tanks are then compiled into reports that are presented to school administrators and public officials for potential action and implementation.  TTT reports have been requested and received by the Alabama Legislative Joint Task Force on School Violence, the governor, the National Youth Summit on Preventing Violence and the White House.
